Discover Munduk

The North Bali sightseeing route takes you into the mountains surrounded by the three lakes Buyan, Tamblingan and Bratan. Make sure you bring warm clothing because once you reach the misty mountains it can get pretty chilly.

LAKE BUYAN AND TAMBLINGAN
Along the road at Munduk Village both lakes can be seen in full view. Facilities are available for car parking by the lake, boat rentals for fishing or just recreation. Not surprisingly this area attracts many travellers who love to do hikes through the beautiful mountains.

TEMPLE ULUN DANU AT LAKE BRATAN
It is a beautiful sight when you see the misty tops of the volcano Gunung Catur towering over the lake. Even though you can’t enter the temple, the complex is really worth the visit. The temples located in the water are particularly nice to see. It has been photographed many times as you can find them in every Bali travel book or on post cards.
A couple of hundred meters from the Ulun Danu Temple you can also find the Bali Handara Kosaido Country club which is famous among golf lovers. If you don’t plan to play golf, there is not much to see here. You can stop here for some lunch if you don’t mind paying more than usual.

EKA KARYA BALI BOTANICAL GARDEN

You can relax in a beautiful and peaceful surrounding while learning about the use of plants in the daily lives of Balinese people as well see many interesting flowers, tropical rainforest plants and birdlife.

GOLF
The Bali Handara Kosaido Country club must be one of the most astonishing golf courses around on Bali and it’s located in the breath-taking mountains of Bedugul.
This Bali golf course is located on an altitude of 1.142 m above sea level and with its fresh air creates a perfect place for a round of golf. Temperatures here are moderate between 14 and 20 degrees Celsius.
